The War
Summary
This is an absolutely gut-wrenching story of what could be. While it’s definitely something we never want to see come to fruition, we all know that nuclear war is a possibility. The War by Garth Ennis explores the different potential outcomes of a group of friends at the end of the world as we know it. Should you try to get away from the city? Should you stay put and hold your loved ones tight? Should you just end it quick and painless before the real suffering comes? Garth explores each of these and so much more in this gritty foretelling of nuclear war.
Rating
Absolutely LOVED this story – it really grabs you from the opening scene and doesn’t let you down even on the FINAL page!
Artwork
The art in this book is dark, gritty, and gruesome at times – everything you can imagine it should be considering the subject. The characters show a lot of emotion and the scenes are realistic while keeping the focus where it needs to be.
